Mr. Shashike Silva joined the Tea Trade in 2005 as a Management Trainee at Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers Pvt Ltd, where he has since amassed 18 years of experience as a tea taster, valuer, and auctioneer/broker. Mr. Silva was later promoted to the post of Manager in 2013 and a Senior Manager in 2017. His rapid progression in the company enabled him to become one of its youngest Directors by the year 2021.In 2023, Mr. Silva joined Asia Siyaka Commodities, where he currently serves as Senior Vice President and oversees the company’s marketing operations. He is well-experienced in the low-grown sector, which is an integral part of the company.Mr. Silva holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), is a Chartered Marketer, and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He also chaired the 35th Tea Trade Ball and served as committee secretary for several years.
